Ivo Špigel’s lecture will take a brief „snapshot“ of the European technology industry, identifying key trends both in terms of sectors as well as investment and financial performance.
Aside from an industry overview, the lecture will include lessons and recommendations from key industry players to European policy makers on what needs to be done to ensure the continued success and global competitiveness of the European technology industry.
About lecturer:
Ivo Špigel wears several hats. He is a co-founder and board member of Perpetuum Mobile, a software and IT services company based in Zagreb, Croatia. He writes monthly columns and other pieces for Mreža (a Croatian IT magazine) and the Croatian edition of Forbes. His particular topics of interest are European startup founders & entrepreneurs who are making waves on the global high tech scene, about which he has written a book – „The European Startup Revolution“. They are also to blame for his involvement as a cofounder and contributing editor in the online publication covering European technology and startups – Tech.eu. He has also co-founded ZIP, Croatia’s first startup incubator.
